|
I have had the following happen to me more than once.
I have a page open for an album I wish to request a track, patiently waiting for timer to count down for my request. Before my timer counts down to zero the "Request Disabled" status displays because the queue is at 3 hours 30 minutes or longer. During my wait time I notice the "Request Disabled" notice go away and my timer displays again with time still remaining before zero. I then notice again a little later "Request Disabled" displays because queue is full again. Later that notice disappears and "Ready" in green displays.
I then click to request my short length track to add to the queue, where track length would not extend queue to over 3 hours 30 minutes. This is where I receive the error about requesting too soon.
I have closed various DFM browser tabs and even refreshing pages, but I still cannot request the track I want. Only remedy that seems to work is to log out of DFM entirely, close any DFM tabs, and then log in again so I can request a track.
Using Firefox browser v36.
Anyone else experience something like this? What did you do to solve the problem? |

You have to do a manual refresh to get the green "Ready" sign up, otherwise it will not happen until the next auto-refresh. By which time some jerkoff has disabled the Q again.

I usually keep multiple windows open of the station. One for chat and one for requesting, so the requesting page always stay on Ready or Requests Disabled and it will refresh easily. |

I also keep multiple tabs open for DFM to make requesting tracks easier. Each time I have encountered this bug I have manually refreshed each page (F5 on keyboard) to see if that will help... and it does not.
Again, this seems to happen when "Request Disabled" shows up when my time is counting down to green Ready, then counter shows again, then "Request Disabled" then counter again, then Ready. This bug seems to happen when "Request Disabled" displays more than once during timer count down.
Any other suggestions? |

Request disabled is based on the queue length.
If queue is too long, requesting tracks is disabled _________________ i am so ebil that i piss darkness |

The maximum length of the queue is 3 hours and 30 minutes. Once that threshold is reached, the requests are automatically disabled. _________________ diginferno

I completely understand what basher and digi wrote about how the request queue disables once the total time of tracks in queue reaches 3 hours 30 minutes.
Once queue length reduces from that is when I notice issues if the request queue disables more than once while my count down timer still is counting down from 40 minutes to "ready".
Am I the only lucky person to experience this?
