I hav hav a ton of old vynals but no idea how to upload to computer so yuo all can hear them. I you know how 2 plz get back to me. I hav black metal demos and old school death, grindcore from late 1980s and early 1990s. None of them are listed on youe site. I been listening to these genres since 1989 and have some some must haves to offer but no idea how to transfer from vynal and cassette to digital file.

you have old vinyls? lp albums i mean then you. It you want to donate the songs here you need to contact with jeric or byerqueen to get their aproval on those. Basicly if i am correct you should ship those albums to 24 seven fm. But do not ship them unless you have aproval of them.

If you want to make mp3's out of vinyl albums you need to have something like this http://www.magix.com/fi/lp-saver/?partnerid=9009&AffiliateID=2&adword=google/FIShop/vinyl%20on%20mp3&gclid=CJfmouSz3aoCFVs03wodzGtD8w

http://www.altoedge.com/usbaudio/turntables.html?gclid=CImBoIC03aoCFZIH3wodHVJy7w

so with these two links it is possible many of dudes and dudetes here have done the same job with different ways...

As far i know, only original and brand new CD's are accepted. The digital MP3 files are mainly bought from Amazon.

All the music on the station must be legit, so there is no upload feature. Also, I don't know if JERIC has the technical means to rip vinyls.

The best thing to do in this situation would be to use the contact form from the menu and ask about it.

Go to Contact -> Contact Us and fill the form there. Pick "Music submission" from the subject list and write your suggestion in the message body. You should receive a response from JERIC within a few days.

Yes we do have the technical means to rip vinyls. JERIC bought something last year for old soundtracks that were never re-released. It is a pain in the ass.

I have ripped countless vinyls for myself and others over the past 5 or 6 years. You are right, its a pita, has to be done in real time, and then you have to use noise suppression software to get rid of the pops, crackles and scratches. An average LP takes somewhere around an hour to do.

The key, if you are inclined to do this, is the hardware and software. A GOOD turntable and cartridge are mandatory, those ones they advertise for around a hundred bucks to do it all are junk. I have a Technics SL-Q2 with a Stanton 681EEE-S type cartridge, a GLI GX2800 pre-amp, and of course use Audacity and DAK De-Popper. Also a pretty fast processor in the computer with loads of memory and several terabytes of hard drive space.

1. transfer all your to vinyls to audiotapes...
2. ... and then burn it to CDs.
