I know its alot of work mainatining these forums. But should there be a thread graveayard for threads over 4 years old? Thread necroing is a PITA. And locked threads should be put here too. |

We do have a graveyard, you just can't see it.

I personally would like if:
1. It should be anyone except mods or higher ranks can't post more than once on "Request" Forum, so threads might be free of persistent spamming posts (bumps, single emoticons and useless comments or replies). That means threads might keep ordered all time and mainly the new ones keep on the top.
2. The "Added" Forum must be locked, eliminated or hidden for common users including RIP's, the same than Graveyarded thread which we cannot see, cause there's a HOME link where you can see what has been added and give thanks to contributed stuff on "Playlist Update & Thanks".
Imo it's useless to post on "Added" Forum, also Jeric pointed this before but some dumb ass keeps on posting single emoticons without sense in "Request" and "Added" Forums:
"Please do not make pointless comments in the added forum. We leave the topics open so you are able to give thanks to who contributed the album or offer a constructive opinion.
Single emoticons or complaining about it being added is pointless and just wastes our moderators time. Failure to comply will result in the whole forum being locked."

Yeah, i can barely see that blue text.
As for pruning old topics to the graveyard and changing to added forums, that's up to BQ/Jeric tbh. The mods follow the directions for forum upkeep as they have been delegated to us.
And disabling replying in request threads would prevent the bumping of old requests, and would defeat the purpose of not allowing repeat requests for albums. How would you bump old requests? _________________ ヽヽ༼༼ຈຈل͜ل͜ຈຈ༽༽ノノ TURN DOWN THAT MUSIC IT'S SHAKING MY HOUSE |

IMO Dark raises an important point, and I'm annoyed that he did so before me.
Please stop me embarrassing myself by commenting on threads that deceased over a month ago.

Does that mean we should ban you from the forums? That would be the only good method for stopping anyone from embarrassing themselves by posting in them.

BQ already said there is a "graveyard" but i still see alot of useless threads (Anything created by Dark, Waffen, CJ, BT of the like are usually useless). But on a serious note there is alot of older forums that get necroed. |

Yes, there are, but we're not going to waste our energy by working like slaves to manually select the rotting threads and removing them.
Besides, some of the old topics are still meaningful. And they have some historical value, if you think about it. I haven't heard of any forum to remove topics just because they are old. _________________ diginferno

If anyone deserves to work like a slave its Pesa. Fricken guy is useless. |

We did do a massive clean up of the requests forums a few years ago, that was a pain, I couldn't fathom doing the others. _________________ - Does this hurt ? -
