I want to make a deal. From now on I will ignore any and all crappy grind requests, that is to mean will NOT vote on them (would be a NO vote). The other part of this deal is that anyone that hates doom just because they hate doom will NOT vote on doom requests (would be a NO vote). I know this is asking a lot of some of you, but there seems to me to be an automatic hatred of both genres from each side. All humor aside, this is prejudicing the voting on what would be most likely good requests from both sides.
This is an honest request and suggestion. As much as I despise it, there is a place here for a certain amount of grind, and there is also a place here for a certain amount of doom, just as there is a place here for black metal. Yes, this is Death.fm, but all of the aforementioned genres are actually sub-genres of death metal. Doom, especially the vocal style, is just DM slowed way down, and grind is just DM played in a weird way.
I do suggest that others of the doomster leaning way go along with this too.
So, how about it? Deal? _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.

I like both subgenres a lot so I will continue to vote for both. But I think this a very good suggestion and I fully support this |

Good one, CJ! As a matter of fact, that has been my stance for a long time: I'd rather not vote for something I don't like instead of giving a negative resolution.
As you say, there's a place here for all the extreme genres, regardless of whether we enjoy listening to them or not. Besides, exposure to the less enjoyable stuff may even change our opinions on them. At least that's what happened to me, since I came to like certain brutal bands.

Why am I not surprised by this? But you're wrong, Razy: extreme metal is much more than "high speed dirt" _________________ diginferno

This is exactly my point of view and my attitude, ever and not only for DFM and its music.
In our case (DFM case), there is room, yes, for diversity within a certain range. Doom and grind can live together here without any problems.
CJ, total support! |

bullshit, you dont want to resolve anything you just want to spam the
forum with shitty doom request that doesnt even fit here by a mile
without any death influences that would make it fit here _________________ |=*=Razy=*=|

I saw the subject of this topic and I was just going to say legalize pot and prostitution and we would have world peace, but I see this is about something entirely different.
I might as well address this while I am here. Doom is here to stay as long as there are grunts and growls. I will be coming out with a new module soon to help people understand the focus of the playlist. Hopefully that will aid the in the peace process. _________________ "It's all Venger's fault! I love everything and all things that are heavy all across the board. DFM has a very diverse coverage on all that is heavy. And that IS why I LOVE DFM!!!!!!! |

This post was an idea for those like me, that despise grind, I put it at the same level as hiphop. And for the ones that like it and despise doom. All others can just ignore this. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.
