I think it would be fine to change the "Star Trek" old ranks and renew them with something related to Metal Music and/or genres.
Maybe it could be improved some special features for the ranks below Moderators (Commodore, maybe captains too).

Jeric and BQ have more pressing issues to handle.
And honestly, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the ranks as they are right now. Why change what isn't broken?

Are you one of those who think the only way to change something is cause it's broken or damaged? It's just an idea to renew. I'm not talking about prioritize. Imo all ideas should be welcomed, that's why this forum was created for. If they are "good" or "bad" anyways, only Jeric or BQ say it.

Yes it is an interesting idea, BUT I was merely stating the fact that if Jeric or BQ were to agree to do it, it would be one more thing to add to their already large pile of stuff to do, and in the end, the overall impact on the site it would have would be minimal.
I'm just trying to be realistic, not trying to stomp on your jimmies. 
Ideas and suggestions are great, but right now I cannot feasibly foresee small changes like new ranks being worked on anytime soon.
