this is thread is an answer to the adding of "extreme" metal band Kittie!.. so here we go: Death.Fm - "A Brutal & Beautiful Blend of Black, Death, Goth, Gore & Grind w/Requests".. looks like we got lost somewhere.. am I missing something?.. it is even labeled "Alt. metal".. all I can say is a big WTF?.. if this is here than I guess bands like DevilDriver or Chimaira which are way heavier should be here too.. I understand the need to attract more and more listeners but still.. this is Jeric's station, he can add whatever he likes/wants but I never thought I'd see the day when alternative crap got into the playlist.. oh well , my bad I guess

Please, seriously, take us seriously. A few months ago I started a thread about Lamb of God being the catalog and the thread was deleted. Please don't censor us.
Kittie does not belong here, at all. It is not extreme. Those of us who love d.fm are RABID fucking fans of the site. Why? Because this is the only place we can gather together and share in a truly underground form of extreme music. Kittie is neither extreme nor underground.
It's like a fucking Starbucks opening up in the middle of our site.

There is a strict rule against "please remove" threads. BUT, I think this does not exactly fall under that, so IMO it stays. And I also agree. A lot of what is on here doesn't fall under the "extreme" label IMO, bands such as Lamb of God, Dethklok and most recent Cradle of Filth along with most deathcore are good examples, but there has to be a line somewhere. Jeric, I do believe the line has been crossed.

I doubt Kittie will be removed from the music catalog, because that is a can of worms... however, will the site tighten up the policy and become more discerning in regards to future music additions?
We deserve an honest answer.

I like lots of regular metal bands, but Death.fm shouldn't have them. They should be in some other fucking 24seven.fm room. The uniqueness of our space here would get watered down.
MORE people in the world actually like regular metal than death metal, so over time the queue would be full of mainstream bullshit with the occasional death metal track... We'd be forced out by the god damn emo's and nu metal shitfucks.
