So, I wanted to hear (yes again) several opinions about Bands which we can't request.
Darkthrone, Burzum(hvis lyset tar oss... det som engang var), Mayhem, Bathory...
I think those bands are very important and everyone should know them or at least their history because one day somebody will certainly confront them with the facts (burning churches etc). These bands are the fundament of Blackmetal!
I've often heard that those bands should be fascistic or stuff like that. But on the other side I've seen lots of quite unimportant bands on Death.fm which are VERY fascistic or anti-Semitic too.
And the most important thing of Blackmetal or Deathmetal is still the music, the cold feeling and the aggression. 90% of all the lyrics contains only nonsense.
I want to see somebody who really likes Black or Deathmetal and who can see in my eyes and say that "Transilvanian Hunger" or "Hammerheart "is boring.
Just wanted to read what other people think about that.

Hammerheart is one of the best metal albums period! It was a newer concept back then and it worked great for Bathory and helped then climb to godz status in the metal realm. |

I mostly agree to what you wrote Tvangeste. But I think there are quite a number of very good lyrics in black or death metal.
There is something to keep in mind.. if a Album is not on here (Death FM) you still can listen to it at home. Other people interested are free to buy the album (ok, some people would also only download it which is very sad).
Jeric has to make many decisions which Band would fit into the concept of Death.fm or not. Yes, maybe there is place to argue about which band fits into this radio but he built it for himself and the scene (as far as I know  , so he is the one that has to do the decisions.

...what can I say, adding Venom to this group might be fair.... but there are others who has made a difrence to the whole metal genre like morbid angel, emperor, death.... each leading their own sub genre with spremacy

I think that the music and lyrics are important for a band not to look like their a bunch of corpse painted idiots on stage. Now while these guys are not painted up I think Hypocrisy blend an equal amount of musical talent both with lyrics and musicianship, ......just an opinion |

I just want to point out, there are many Albums lacking on here imo, like Bathory "Bathory" & "Blood on Ice", Ancient "Mad Grandiose Bloodfriends", Nargaroth "Rasluka", "Geliebte des Regens" & "Herbstleyd" Forgotten Tomb "Springtime Depression", Ragnarok "Blackdoor Miracle" & "Arising the Realm".
About what fits or not on this station, all ppl talks about it, but i really don't know at this point what fits or not cause there are some contradictions, even threads made by Jeric where he has said "No More Core" or "the album doesn't fits here cause there is no harsh vocals", but adding afterwards instrumental albums, adding metalcore, etc.
About the lyrics, well, there are many good ones depending on the genre. Of course you're not gonna find good ones on those crappy degradations from the main genres.
