I've seen them live a few times and thought they were great. I dont get the same impression from listening to the albums. |

Mastodon is kind of like softer sludge metal
i like The Ocean more coz its a more extreme side of sludge with death influenced

Close to it but just by listening to Mastodon songs and the live dvd of them i have with slayer cob thine eye bleed and lamb of god i dont think they belong here but thats just my opinion. I just dont believe Mastodon fit under any of the genre given to be have here but again this isnt a removal thread this is what people think of the band |
