I like to use clear tone light top/ heavy bottom, but i dont go below C, im usually in drop Db. Ya i agree that a 7 string is best, but im sure youre not looking to drop 1400 on a whim, so unless youre talking long term, id give those a try. They last a while but once they lose their temper they sound dead. I play 2 to 4 hours a day and replace strings every 3 to 4 weeks |
