Nervochaos - Art Of Vengeance, The
Does exactly what it says on the tin
By: SummoningEternalNightMCMX
Date: 16 Jan 2015
Rating:

You know what you're going to get from the good people at Cogumelo Records. Rough, uncompromising Death/Thrash. When you've been doing the right thing for 25 years why change anything?

Ea - A Etilla
Ambivalent to Ambience
By: SummoningEternalNightMCMX
Date: 15 Jan 2015
Rating:

This is some nice Ambient/Doom shit, something to unwind to on a dark evening. The "monastic" vocals might be a turn-off for some.

Blood Red Throne - Blood Red Throne

Stupid blastbeats ruin the whole damn album.

Loss [USA] - Despond
...mesmerizing
By: urielms
Date: 27 Dec 2014
Rating:

I cannot express how absolutely amazing this album is. It is truly a wonder to behold. Loss have created one of the darkest, most demented pieces of music...This album is a staple of modern death/doom, this much I am sure.
Crushing, massive, punishing doom. What else could you ask for? Amazing work.

Comatose Vigil - Fuimus, Non Sumus...
Funeral Doom art!
By: urielms
Date: 27 Dec 2014
Rating:

With only three songs, all of which come in around the 25 minute mark, the songs here are long, cold brooding dirges of despair. And even with the length, the songs never bored me, there are some repetitive parts and the songs could have been a little shorter but overall, I never felt my self waiting for them to end.

Abstract Spirit - Theomorphic Defectiveness
Superb!
By: urielms
Date: 27 Dec 2014
Rating:

I promise you won't get enough of this album; it's perfect in any sense of the word, setting new standards for this sombre musical art of funeral doom. It will show you sights that are otherworldly yet unbelievably beautiful without diminishing from their insanely dark essence and lurking madness.

Abyssmal Sorrow - Lament
stunning!
By: urielms
Date: 27 Dec 2014
Rating:

Very good piece of Atmospheric Funeral Doom/Black metal recommended for fans of the genre and also for fans of Depressive Black Metal (due to the resemblance in sound).

Skyforest - Aftermath
Russian Atmospheric Black/ Post-Black Metal
By: urielms
Date: 27 Dec 2014
Rating:

It’s just mesmerizing. The syntethized sounds, amazing vocals, both clean and harsh, orchestrations, the gloomy sounding guitars and a very tight and fit drumming contribute to create a dynamic and impressive release. I feel that there’s also some nostalgic aura as well. I guess this is up to each one interpretation.

Ea - A Etilla
Masters of their dark art
By: urielms
Date: 27 Dec 2014
Rating:

Melodic, mysterious, sombre funeral doom is what Ea treats you to and as with all their previous albums...be prepared to lose the best part of an hour of your day once you hit ‘Play’ and it will be time very well spent.
The singer’s ruined throat cries of ruined landscapes and faded glory, taking you on a journey of sorrow and passion...
Whatever country these guys reside in, they are producing some of the world’s finest funeral doom at the moment, and ‘A Etilla’ is a shining example of what this kind of super-gloomy music can achieve.

Rotting Christ - Aealo
*
By: DJ
Date: 19 Dec 2014
Rating:

Rotting Christ I could a little bit compare to Death. Every new album in compare to previous one, is more melodic, more difficult, more sound and colors. And, by the way, still not repeating each other. You definitelly must listen Khronos, Genesis and after this one.
Enjoy DFM, dude :)
