Burning Skies - Greed.Filth.Abuse.Corruption
|
Burning Skies |

... is a fine example of one of those bands that smoothly blends different categories of extreme music (Death, Gore). The songs on this album are relatively short, brief and powerful bombs averaging to a length of three or so minutes. The majority of compositions are hypersonic, invoking mobility within you... Check them out!

Abysmal Dawn - Programmed To Consume

ABYSMAL DOWN |

... play death metal with pummeling blast beats and shredding guitars. They also infuse elements of thrash and black metal that increase the extremity and diversity of the music. The songs range from lighting fast traditional death metal to mid tempo tracks with a lot of groove and melody. There's even some acoustic guitars and a song that's slower and doomy.

21 Lucifers - In The Name Of...

21 Lucifers... |

...play finest dm from Falun (Sverige) with probably dosed grind-insertions. In some moments you hear the influences by Carcass, Nasum, Autopsy and consorts...
Recorded and produced by Jonas Kjellgren (former vocalist of Carnal Forge and active guitarist of Centinex) where he also recorded bands such as Carnal Forge, Centinex, Scar Symmetry, Incapacity etc.
Prepare to get knocked out by this explosion of hyper-agressive lyrics, furious speed, catchy hooks and bursting breakdowns... well done!

The straight foward brutal death metal of barely contained
in the nine tracks on this disc are sickeningly awesome
in every facet — from the guttural growls to the
unrelenting drums to the gag reflex inducing lyrics.

killer extreme metal |

If you haven't yet discovered ALL SHALL PERISH on their previous two releases, first of all,
shame on you, and second, stop waiting and pick up their coming slab of molten death metal.
It's killer extreme metal no matter what way you slice it-check it out.

Hackneyed - Death Prevails

HACKNEYED - 'fat' old-school dm from Germany |
|
Check out HACKNEYED from Aalen/Abtsgmünd in Germany.
Reactions to "Death Prefails" from listeners and critics ranged
from positive to enthusiastic, some of them even compared
their sound to Anasarca, Resurrected or Fearer.
Of course i think the album has its very own distinctive charakter.
Cool stuff for all 'old-school' dm-freaks ...

Sakrefix - In Shadow's Embrace
|
Cool "light" stuff! |
|
In "Shadow’s Embrace" is a prime example of a calculated black/death metal attack.
SAKREFIX from Brownwood (Texas) mixing raw, unrelenting blasts with melodic elements...
Cool "light" stuff!

Hail Of Bullets - ... Of Frost And War
|
Hail Of Bullets ... Of Frost And War |
|
Members from some of the Netherlands' most important death metal bands, namely Asphyx, Pestilence, Gorefest, Thanatos
among others, have joined forces to form HAIL OF BULLETS, a staggering old-school death metal band
that offers uncompromising molten metal mayhem on their ambitious debut "Of Frost and War".
Based around vocalist Martin van Drunen's ideas, the album is a conceptual piece of work
revolving around WW2, particularly the eastern front. All stracks (Look tracklist) address the theme of war,
painting a bleak picture of destruction a la Bolt Thrower during their heyday.
This being a nod to the masters of old-school death metal, most of the songs are intentionally devoid of melodic patterns
and see the band proceeding through mid-tempo to faster musical terrains. Melody is only offered at key points,
in order to provide contrast to the bleak, relentlessly heavy death metal aesthetic.
Combined with van Drunen's dry, tortured growl and and Theo van Eekelen's rumbling bass,
the tracks immediately stand out due to their epic arrangement, thick guitar layering and overall feel.
Fans of Autopsy, Death, Bolt Thrower, Celtic Frost, and Obituary are advised to check it out.
This is the TRUE soundtrack to war and destruction!!!
