Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas

In all the years since my having been affiliated with black metal music, I've heard of no better masterpiece than De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas. The only part of the album, which could perhaps be questionable are Csihar's unorthodox vocals, but after a person listens the album through a few times, they will see that even the vocals are praise-worthy.
Hellhammer's drumming is extremely inventive and unmatched, and the riffs are some of the most epic ever to have arisen out the black metal scene.
Truly a work of art.

Cryptopsy goes faster and well produced |

Its a very good record, with their "above human" speed. well its kind of the same thing at the end of the record but its something, the potencial that makes me love this record. recommended for the people who listen to modern death metal also some of the classicks of death metal. enjoy

Children Of Bodom - Hatebreeder

Hatebreeder |

Children Of Bodom’s second full-length release, this album comes from the days where they actually used keyboards to magnificent effect, and is a more focused and balanced effort than their debut album “Something Wild”.
This is Bodom performing at the peak of their unique neo-classical metal style, which has also benefited from improved production and even better musicianship.
Definitely an excellent album, as well as being Children Of Bodom’s best album (sorry to disappoint those who prefer the more extreme power metal based Follow The Reaper), this is an enjoyable effort from a highly talented band before they changed their core style for a simpler, more mainstream sound.

A remarkable debut, After listening to Funeral Thirst and Elder Misanthropy, you can conclude that At the Gates must have been very influential towards this band. This album is loaded with an even amount of heaviness and melody, several riffs throught this album are quite catchy, the vocalist (Trevor Strnad) has a voice ranging from high screams/shrieks and death growls. The solos on this album are going to stick with you. and this album is pretty solid all the way through. Its a great debut album. Totally worth a listen.

Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal
|
Those Once Loyal |
|
The legendary Bolt Thrower have returned and released another album, “Those Once Loyal”, which continues on with their tradition of combining war themes with death metal, with excellent results (as per usual).
There are no surprises on here, and the songs do not deviate much from the same basic structure that all Bolt Thrower fans are familiar with. However, every track on here still manages to be unique, memorable and crushing in its own way.
“Those Once Loyal” is an excellent high quality output by these British death metallers that is consistent from start to end, and is arguably their best album yet.

Darzamat - In The Opium Of Black Veil
|
In The Opium Of Black Veil |
|
In The Opium Of Black Veil is an EP release by Darzamat, from back in their Symphonic Black Metal days. This EP heavily emphasises the symphonic side of Darzamat, and is quite powerful and diverse in its execution.
It’s a shame this EP only contains 5 songs, with one of them being a new “Mystic” (rerecorded) version of a track from their first album “In The Flames Of Black Art”.
Seems to get better every time I listen to it, this album is recommended for those who enjoy the symphonic side of metal.
