You can't take seriously a site that hates its own grind roots. May we all love Cock 'n Ball Torture \,,/

Wretched - Beyond The Gate
Wretched - Beyond The Gate
By: Stuka_Kommandant
Date: 12 Dec 2010
Rating:

I'm really surprised of Wretched: All musicians are good solists and play tight and on point.
What is the most impressive is the guitar section: vicious but catchy riffs,
with some "neo-classical" (sorry, but i don't really know how to describe it
since i'm not a musician or an expert) and blazing solos. Very cool!
Drumming is solid. OK, the vocals here are nothing special, but it suits the music well.
This remind me a bit of Beneath the Massacre, Neuraxis and Origin, that i like.
Without a doubt: it's a kick-ass album! CHEERZ \m/

Nargaroth - Black Metal Ist Krieg (A Dedication Monument)
Nargaroth - Black Metal Ist Krieg
By: Azdragar
Date: 12 Dec 2010
Rating:

This is their second full-lenght and one of my favourite Nargaroth's album because it's very variated and complete. "Black Metal Ist Krieg" song is a great overture to a fast and powerful Black Metal old crude style. "Seven Tears Are Flowing To The River" is imo a masterpiece and so depressive song, very nice slow melodies with a great embracer athmosphere. "The Day As Burzum Killed Mayhem" is a polemic song, but according to Ash thoughts, it's not a tribute to Vikernes about how he killed Euronymous, because it's a narrow about how that issue became into a very big event inside the history of Black Metal Scene and of course it was a bad event. I have been two times in Nargaroth's shows and they use to play The Day As Burzum Killed Mayhem, War and Freezing Moon, so there's no an straight Burzum fanatism by the band. Finally "Pisen Pro Satana" (Root Cover) song sounds better than the Root's version. The ending song "Possessed By Black Fucking Metal" is what defines Nargaroth's lyrical theme. Black Fucking Metal Forever! I Rate this album 5.0.

Impetigo - Horror Of The Zombies
The sound is not so primitive now!
By: Bad_Taste
Date: 11 Dec 2010
Rating:

The sound is not so primitive than it used to be, I mean I think the songs are a bit longer and they have more structure and rhythm. I have heard they used to say they are not really musicians and I agree, they just play their instruments well and because they are fanatics of horror movies and because their talent permits them to create very catchy songs and made them the precursors in their style. Awesome and short song intros before the music which will make you to bang your head like a mad zombie.

Pungent Stench - Club Mondo Bizarre - For Members Only
The sound changed a little bit!
By: Bad_Taste
Date: 11 Dec 2010
Rating:

The Pungent Stench's early years sound is gone in this album and some fanatics don't approve that, however I think the essential charisma is still with them and I could say they transformed their style in a kind of stoned one, good riffs as always and the same black and great humor... Sex, laughs and great rock and roll!

Rotting Christ - Theogonia
By Far Their Best Effort
By: tronous32
Date: 9 Dec 2010
Rating:

Hail the Greeks from the heart of the Black Metal scene. Production is thick, sound is atmospheric (without keyboards). The oriental elements in the music is more visible. The song writing is excellent. Less black metal influences (but there are still)... And the riffs... Yes they are good. They have evolved over time, and this is a proof that they have the potential to write good cds in the near future.

Rotting Christ - Genesis
Melodic, Heavy, and Evil
By: tronous32
Date: 9 Dec 2010
Rating:

For years Rottig Christ has been making great black metal, and this effort doesnt dissapoint at all. Genesis is ten tracks of dark grim black metal. The black metal vocals are incredible. The best songs would have to be LexTaliois, Nightmare, and Dying. The lyrics are awesome and they are very wll thought-out and meaningfull. The production is very good.

Belphegor - Goatreich - Fleshcult
Snarling death-thrash from Austria
By: tronous32
Date: 9 Dec 2010
Rating:

Belphgor's 5th studio opus shows these Austrians are still kicking ass. Blazing speed, great guitar/drum work with their death/black hybrid style, and Helmuth's vocals still sound down-right unholy. If you haven't picked this up yet, then what the hell are you waiting for?

Belphegor - Bondage Goat Zombie
Supreme Black/Death Metal
By: tronous32
Date: 9 Dec 2010
Rating:

This was the first Belphegor album I purchased, although I am familiar with some of their older stuff. Upon the first listen, this album quickly became the one that would be stuck in my cd player. The one thing I did notice is how catchy the songs actually are, coming across as melodic, with memorable vocal patterns and riffing. In fact, I often find myself humming the solo to Justine: Soaked in Blood. The subject matter will probably come across as "odd" to some people, but what would you expect with a title such as Bondage Goat Zombie. If you are into black and death metal, then you will most likely enjoy Belphegors "Supreme Black/Death Metal Art."
