FoR just keeps improving

Rating:
This album, their latest, has a bit more polished sound than the previous ones, but still retains that raw feel that is an essential element of their nature based black/folk. Tracks 2 and 3 are epic, the only bands that can compare is Agalloch and maybe Wolves in the Throne Room. This type of black metal is difficult to pull off without sounding cheesy or just plain horrible, and it is a distinctly American type of music. The only foreign band I can think of that even comes close in sound is Drudkh, and they have a slightly different direction at times.
