Myriads are a very different band compared to your other typical extreme metal bands. While their music would mainly be categorized as gothic metal, this is much more than just regular gothic metal. In their debut album “In Spheres Without Time”, Myriads combine together elements of symphonic, operatic, black and gothic metal to create a sound unique within metal.
Vocally, the band uses two vocalists (one male and one female) and they both use different styles of vocals throughout the music, from harsh vocals to clean and even operatic singing. This combined vocal performance is unlike anything you’ve ever heard amongst other metal bands, and can take a bit of getting used to, but this really complements the music very well.
In this album Myriads release an incredible wave of atmosphere, melody and symphony that can actually be quite difficult to comprehend for the average metal fan, but those who can appreciate this type of music will definitely find themselves coming back for more.
