Putrid Inbred is a Belgian brutal death metal outfit that blende
in grind to the maelstrom with great effect.
The lyrics skew
heavily toward cannibalism – perfect brutal death subject matter.
Enjoy this perfect murderer-music: I Eat Dead People... \,,/

I must admit I had a great laugh the first few minutes after receiving this album. One of the things I do when I get my hands on a new album is to check the track list, simply to get an idea of what to expect. And this ‘cookbook for cannibals’ really made me wonder if this debut from Belgian Putrid Inbred is to be taken serious?
The music itself reflects the track list brilliantly. Dark, gore-like death metal that contrasts heavily with the well-balanced production. And what really shines through is their use of double growling vocalists, Peutie and Steven. One doing what I would call normal death metal growl and the other that adds some weird guttural eee-eee ooo-ooo grunting. I have no idea what it’s there for, it does absolutely nothing but annoy.
The only reason I gave them such a high grade (2.5/5) is the frivolous track list (“Clit Kebab” being my favourite) that you can nothing but laugh at, and also as mentioned above the production done by Kris Belaen (In Quest, Ataraxie and others) that really tries to make the songs seem interesting. But sadly it can’t save the day for this really boring album.
