Longing for Dawn follow up a brilliant 2005 debut on Twilight Foundation with this beautiful masterpiece,A Treacherous Ascension, has more of a crushing affect than most funeral doom acts are able to pull off. While most funeral doom can and will put you in a trance-like state as you listen, it hardly allows for that unique feeling of being buried under layers of synths and distortion.
This is a release for any doom metal fan, minimal or complex, to pick up. It meets perfectly in the middle of all doom subgenres, and you will probably find yourself hooked on this one for a short while.
